Rangers Start with Win

The Rangers (1-0-0) beat the Lightning today by the score of 2 - 1. This is what I took out of it:

1. No need to be worried about Lundqvist, made some huge saves for us.
2. Naslund could of had at least 4 goals today, though he only got 1 lets up he gets a lot of those opportunities.
3. Kalinin is the new Malik. He's not bad positioning wise, but he's insanely slow. Hopefully he'll improve.
4. Gomez 11 - 13 in the faceoff circle ... also his puck carrying was excellent.
5. Was it me or did Dubinsky's power play goal look a lot like a Jaromir Jagr goal? Right slot, filthy wrister.
6. Speed kills and even though the Rangers only scored twice this game was incredibly entertaining.
7. Zherdev looked ok, shooting a lot more than in preseason, his puck carrying worries me though. He's very prone to turnovers.
8. The Prucha - Korporkoski - Callahan line played very well. Lots of intensity, and lots of skill.
9. The power play went 1 - 7 but looked much better than last year. I wasn't screaming shoot as much as last year. It still needs to improve.
10. Lundqvist's save on Stamkos was phenomenal. Welcome to the world of Vezina contending goaltenders Mr. Stamkos.
